Dear XELS Community, We are excited to announce our XELS contract upgrade will be happening on Friday 18th March at 5pm Japan Time (UTC+9). Our team has been at work testing and fine-tuning things over the past few days. We are now ready to roll out the update! This update is necessary for our ambitions plans already, but trust us… the pace at which we’ll move after the upgraded XELS contract will take the project to new heights. This contract upgrade is to allow us to roll out our much anticipated XELS NFT platform which will allow users to be able to record their carbon credits on the blockchain for the first time! Our plan is to start with climate change, and improving the carbon credits system by bringing in more people and projects to remove emissions from the atmosphere. But that is only a part of it, environmental sustainability is more than emissions, and sustainability is more than environmental. There is also the human and social aspect of sustainability as well. At XELS, our goal is to build an ecosystem where everyone can come together in a decentralized manner and contribute to making sustainable choices, whether as an active or passive participant. This is why we have envisioned XELS in stages and are excited to take the next steps with you! This article outlines the steps involved in the upgrade and what you need to do.
